The short version: We never see your payment details — Telegram handles all billing. We collect very little: an email address only if you choose to give us one, plus basic anonymous analytics about how the site is used. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising cookies.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how The Ruby Room, operated by Ruby Reid and her management team ("we", "us"), handles information in connection with the website at rubyreiddaily.com and The Ruby Room Telegram channel (the "Service").
2. What we collect
Information you give us voluntarily
- Email address — only if you submit it through the "Notify Me" form on our website. We use it solely to send you updates about The Ruby Room.
- Support correspondence — if you email us, we retain that message and your email address in order to respond.
Information collected automatically on the website
We record limited, non-identifying analytics so we can understand which links and pages work. This consists of:
- A randomly generated, per-visit session identifier that is not tied to your identity and is not stored on your device;
- Which buttons or calls-to-action were clicked;
- The referring website or campaign parameters (for example, whether you arrived from Instagram);
- The page path you landed on, your approximate screen width, and whether the device is mobile.
Our website does not set advertising cookies and does not write to your browser's local storage. The session identifier exists only in memory for the duration of your visit.
Information we never collect
- Payment information. All billing runs through Telegram's Stars system. We never receive or store your card number, bank details, billing address, or Telegram Stars balance.
- Government identification, biometric data, or precise geolocation.
Information visible inside Telegram
When you join the channel, your Telegram profile (such as your display name, username, and profile photo, according to your own Telegram privacy settings) may be visible to channel administrators. That information is held by Telegram under Telegram's privacy policy, not by us. We do not export or build profiles from it.
3. Why we use it
- To operate and secure the Service and the members-only channel;
- To measure which marketing links and pages are effective;
- To send updates to people who explicitly asked for them;
- To respond to support requests;
- To detect abuse, unauthorised sharing, and fraud;
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, our legal bases are: your consent (for the email list), our legitimate interests (site analytics, security, anti-piracy enforcement), performance of a contract (providing the membership), and legal obligation.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the Service:
- Telegram — hosts the channel and processes all payments;
- Apple / Google — process in-app purchases of Telegram Stars, where applicable;
- Vercel — hosts our website;
- Supabase — stores the email list and the anonymous analytics described above.
We may also disclose information if legally compelled, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of Ruby, our members, or the public.
5. Retention
We keep email addresses until you ask us to remove them or the list is no longer maintained. Anonymous analytics records are kept in aggregate for as long as they remain useful for measuring performance. Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve your request and to keep a reasonable record.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email rubyreiddaily@gmail.com from the address concerned. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message we send.
Note that information held by Telegram about your account and payments must be requested from Telegram directly, as we do not control it.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and rely on reputable providers with their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because we never handle payment credentials, that category of risk sits with Telegram, Apple, and Google rather than with us.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data protection laws.
9. Children
The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and terminate the associated access. If you believe a minor has accessed the Service, contact us immediately at rubyreiddaily@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and where changes are material we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
